Reviewing procedure
1. At least two independent reviewers are appointed to review every submitted publication.
2. In case of papers written in a foreign language at least one of the reviewers is affiliated to a foreign institution.
3. As far as it is possible double-blind review process is implemented -the author and the reviewer are anonymous to each other.
4. If implementing the double-blind review process is impossible a reviewer must sign a seclaration stating there is no conflict of interest between an author and a reviewer. A conflict of interest should be understood as one of the following:
a) a direct personal relation between the two (family relationship, legal relationship, conflict),
b) a reporting relationship,
c) a direct scientific cooperation within two years prior to reviewing process.
5. Review must be in written form and include definite conclusion on whether article should be published.
6. Criteria on which the article is accepted or rejected and eventual review form are available on a journal web site or are published in every journal issue.
7. Names of reviewers of articles in particular issue are not disclosed, the journal publishes a list of reviewers once a year.

Ghostwriting and guest authorship
The “ghostwriting” or “guest authorship” is considered as a sign of scientific dishonesty. All cases of scientific dishonesty discovered in the texts submitted for publication, regardless of the review results and of the final decision on publication, will be revealed and appropriate entities will be notified (including institutions employing the authors, scientific societies, scientific editors’ associations, and other bodies interested in the matter). All signs of scientific dishonesty, especially breaking or infringing the rules of ethics existing in science, will be documented by the editorial staff in the most suitable way.
In order to counteract the cases of “ghostwriting” and “guest authorship”, the editors of the journal require from the authors of publications to reveal the involvement of all authors in the creation of the publication (by listing their surnames and affiliations, as well as the extent of their contribution, i.e. providing information on who is the author of the concept, assumptions, methods, reports, etc., used to prepare the publication). The responsibility for providing the listed data lies on the side of the author submitting the manuscript for publication, or on the side of an entity doing so on their behalf.
The editorial staff requests authors to attach to the submitted texts essential information on the subject of possible external sources of financing the publication, involvement of other scientific and research institutions, societies and entities than those indicated by the authors’ affiliations (so called “financial disclosure”), if that is the case.
